Records Management and Archiving Assistant, Cambridge MA

Records Management and Archiving Assistant, May-August 2014, part-time, 10 hours week, $15.00/hr

Preferred hours: 2-3 hours per day, T/W/Th, between 8 and 4

 

Office is that of a Harvard University Professor of Anthropology who has a joint appointment between the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the Medical School and has taught at Harvard for 38 years. Professor is also Director of the Asia Center, and his research interests include China, Medical Anthropology, Caregiving, and Global Health. Office is moving May 22, and some files will be moving to the new building and others need to be sorted through, boxed and labelled, and sent to the University Archives. We hope to send several boxes to Archives before May 22 and continue the project through the summer.

 

Duties:

Assist with file organization, storage and transfer to University Archives.

Consult University General Records Schedule on retention protocols.

Seeking a graduate student interested in archives or records management with attention to detail, good communication skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
